Summer DYB - Rita's block

Well I know I work fast, but I think I broke all records today, by finishing Rita's block in one day. I think it turned out just right too, with lovely fresh daisy's and butterflys fluttering about. I believe it certainly reflects the feel of Summer.

International Advent Swap

I put my name down to be in this swap, rules for the swap are as follows:
The idea is to put together a package containing 24 small gifts around the $2 - $3 mark ie measuring tape, some DMC threads, hand cream, pack of needles, fat quarter etc.
Each one of these parcels is wrapped and numbered 2 - 25. A handmade major gift must also be made and wrapped and included. The major gift must be numbered No 1. Ideas could be a Tote Bag, Mini Quilt etc

Stockings for the family

My other current project is to make Xmas stockings for my family. There are currently 9 in Townsville and another 15 or more elsewhere in Australia. This year I am only doing the ones in Townsville and the rest during next year. I have made 4 so far, and the other 5 over the coming weeks. I haven't gone over the top with the embellishments, as I had so many to make.

A Finished project

Well after months of travelling and being unsettled I have finally finished a project. My dear sister in law, gracely gave me back a xmas centerpiece that I made the xmas before we left to go overseas in 2005, I must admit she did seemed disappointed I wouldn't let her keep it. So feeling bad about that I have made her a smaller version.
