Wonderful rain

Well Townsville got drenched last week, with Cyclone Olga bring so much needed dam filling rain. The weir near our place was not a trenquil flow, but reminded us of the roar of Niagara Falls, from our recent tour of Canada. This photo is actually about 8 stitched together to show you about 180 degrees, cool hey.

Frist Assessment piece - Stumpwork - Part 2 - Tree and swing

Painting background:
Acrylic paints watered down painted onto wet white cotton. Once dry I mounted into frame for embroidery and placement of swing and wrapped wire pieces.

First assessment piece - Stumpwork

Well I've finished the six units for my beginners stumpwork course, and to totally finish off I have to do two assessment pieces.
Project 1: A figure (or figures) portrayed within a setting i.e. a garden, on a beach etc. This project should have a painted and stitched background.
Project 2: A woodland walk, this project should include trees and an animal or animals, insect or insects and a bird or birds and should have a painted and stitched background.
